Completed and ready to load up.
We test this Friday (9/21/2007) at Summit Point.
If the testing is successful I will run the MARRS Regional.
Finished view of Air intake incorporated into the Roll Hoop structure. This bit turned out very nice. Props also to my dad for fabricating an improvised engine cover in no time flat. Much prettier than that 'phallic' looking airbox and scoop hanging out of the hole in the top of the original bodywork...

Aug 8th Progress Report

The new airbox and inlet are installed
This will require a higher engine cover to look at all reasonable.
Revised shifting linkages, mounts and lever in place
AIM system in place and functional (Except that tricky gear indicator)

July 29

Water temp probe and header tank tap done using a prefab 'T' fitting from Pegasus.
Old Fuel pickup. It was so brittle that it fell apart in my hands as I tried to undo the fitting. Disaster averted (this time).
The fuel cell was remarkably easy to remove. This is the only way to do it...
Even then it was a realblind reach to set up the new pickup fitting

Vent tubes in place for header tank and coolant overflow
Return side plumbing in place. Electric pump placed on floor to maximize scavenging.
Engine vented to header tank to lessen air trapping opportunities.
