Once more into the cell. I removed the HPD supplied 90 degree bulkhead fitting and installed a straight replacement. I decided to go with aluminum instead of the steel unit. Not sure why really, other than they are lighter and look more like race parts :)
Next up was installation of the insulation at the top of the cell and the engine bay front plate. The rear fuel cell enclosure went on without any trouble, but it sure does take forever to put in all of those buttonheads. Hope I don't need to pull the cell again any time soon.
The final product... Top cover plate installed and in process of being bonded to the top plate (it is held on by the center bolt, but is RTV'ed down in the rest of the area. Note that the new 90 degree fuel fitting fits nicely now. A lot of trouble but a good end result.
The Pegasus order came in tonight as well as the AIM system. So next on the agenda is plumbing and wiring work...
The work is getting more and more satisfying now as the car comes together. It is looking more and more like a real car again.
