Installing the new HPD supplied input shaft turned out to be one of the more invloved and difficult processes in the conversion so far. Componding the difficulty level was the fact that I had absolutely no experience with the Staffs gearbox going in. But undaunted I dug into the box. First off came the rear cover.
Runnung out of sheld and bench space, I pressed the spares box and a HPD box into service as a makeshift holder for the removed parts...
Removing the input shaft meant that I had to remove all of the suspension mounting brackets to set the bell housing adapter and side cover off. So lots of pictures were in order.
