Bearing carrier removed...
Side cover ready to come off. But the lower right bracket proved to be slightly in the way. So off it came too. In the end pretty much everything external to the gearbox needed to remove. Once again proving the old mechnics addage that it never saves time to try to take shortcuts...
Side cover removed (finally!)
Gear box parts carefully set aside for reassembly later.
