Rear suspension disassembly

Off came the left rear suspension. The most difficult part was getting the washers off of the CV Joint. They were pretty much an interference fit, and until all six were carefully wiggled off, the CV would not budge.

Suspension gone. Now on to the right side.
Same procedure, but this time I knew the secret to CV removal so it went a lot faster. Each suspension joint was carefully marked before disassembly so that I would know how it all goes back together. (But it was pretty simple anyway).
Bare (relatively) transaxle. Looking at the various brackets on the gearbox indicates that the process of removing the side cover to install the new input shaft will not be a simple one. But that adventure is for another evening.

Tomorrow night: Removal of the front suspension. With no half shafts or CVs to worry about that should be a relative breeze.

Thanks Dan, They looked like new, good to know that I can keep those in place. My big hope right now is that the DB6 kit's extended sleeve will fit. Since I believe that the DB6 uses the same Saab parts this is a good sign.
